Fritidshuset vänder sig mot tomtens natursköna södersida, med hällar av bohuslänsk granit och reslig tallskog i förgrunden. Husets form skapar flera insynsskyddade platser med lä och olika solförhållanden under dagens och årstidernas lopp. Materialiteten är enkel och linjerna är strama samtidigt som det finns en lekfulhet som ger huset en särpräglad karaktär.
Huset har en dualitet mellan öppen och stängd som går igen i både i fasader och planlösningen. Det skapar plats både för tillvaro i enskildhet och plats för ett socialt liv med många gäster.
This house faces the scenic south side in order to fully enjoy the view of the Bohuslän granite and the pine forest. The shape of the house provides several outdoor areas allowing for both sun and shade throughout the whole day all year round. By having wood as the main material it gives the feeling that the house is close to the beautiful nature it's surrounded by.
The facade of the house makes it rather closed for people passing by, while the back of the house is open. The floor plan also creates indoor spaces both for entertainment and quiet enjoyment.
